Dr Dhaval Sagala is a Senior Specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon at Medcare Medical Centre JBR and Jumeirah, with more than 20 years of experience and over 5,000 surgeries, including more than 1,800 arthroscopic procedures. His special interest is keyhole surgery of the shoulder and knee, along with revision cases, where earlier surgery has not brought the relief a patient hoped for.
His patients range from weekend padel players and gym-goers to older adults with arthritis considering joint replacement. Dr Sagala takes time to explain the diagnosis, discusses non-surgical options where appropriate, and plans treatment around each patient’s work, sport and daily life. Before joining Medcare, he led the Orthopaedic Department at Medeor Hospital, Dubai. He is a published researcher and a former medical college teacher, and he consults in English, Hindi and Gujarati.
